We should join forces and focus on some essential issues and targets and not try to harmonize everything

To ensure a strong Europe we need a joint framework and common values. While the EU might not be perfect, it is a vehicle to start and get there. Looking only at economic collaboration falls short from my perspective. An important step to strengthen the EU would be to motivate and convince the UK that they want to be part of our community again.

It is essential to adapt the European decision taking structure in order to allow more progress and with that acceptance. Decisions not only be taken when being based on 100% but rather e.g. 66% agreement.

Joint values and common political decisions, that show measurable effects for the people, are key success factors for a wide acceptance of the „European idea“. We can no longer afford particularism of the 27 member states in these difficult times.

Let’s put forward our European communalities, accept our national differences and engage in finding creative consensus. Switzerland is an example. However, in today’s environment speed and identification is of the essence, more than ever before. I favour focus on effective governance for topics that matter guided by the principle „as centralised as necessary and as decentralised as possible“.

There is no future in a new volatile international order , for countries like Germany, France , the UK , Italy or Spain (…) without a stronger , more integrated Europe . Europe is much more than just a free market , it needs to become a real political entity . European integration does not mean uniformity , but without a shared political project , including foreign policy and defense , it will not be able to impact the New International (dis) Order

A common army is nonsense and completely unrealistic, I propose to have a common european defense strategy under the umbrella of NATO. We should stop wishful thinking!

Only by joining forces and staying committed to key technologies can we avoid becoming overly dependent on US and China and preserve our economic and ultimately political sovereignty.

Europe has the potential to demonstrate that multiple nationalities can be united by their vision for freedom, peace and by economic strength. Both to lead by example and to form a required political and economic power weight in the world, it is our obligation to reach the full potential of what Europe can be.

We need to rework the EU governance now even if it requires very painful decisions. With this the common value discussion will automatically gain speed as well as the future design of shared European policy fields. Without this, all attempts for further development of the EU will not be supported by the majority of the citizens.

Based on shared democratic values, we need a Europe with economic as well as political integration. The existing (man made) challenges are simply too big to be solved through the old structure of states using current national methods and tools.

European government institutions are broken. We should go back to economic integration only (EWR).

It all starts with a common government, equal rights and equal obligations.

Blocks will be build around the world. Europe has to become a strong and reliable counterweight with the right set of values.

I am Swiss and still a bit critical whether Switzerland should join EU, but strongly support any strengthening of the EU. Let’s make sure that continental Europe is not the big looser of the geopolitical events going on, resulting in a tripolar world between the US, China and to a certain extent Russia. Europe stands for multicultural heritage, democracy and many key industrial strongholds, eg food and wines, fashion, watches and many more ! Thanks for your initiative

We should remember the vision of the parents of Europe. It’s peace. Peace can be ensured only in a strong Europe which stands together sharing the same values.

And I want to stay together with other democratic countries

Europe first of all is a community of shared values, such as rule of law, mutual respect, humanistic approach. It also implies a certain economic solidarity among State members. And it should become a respected voice (more than so far) in the geopolitical arena.

It is more necessary than ever to create an Europe that is capable of action and persue the path to this goal. But: it is not enough to treat it as a political project only, all of us have to actively contribute and participate in it.

Joint Values , joint Programs and shared objectives are the key enablers for European policies.

In a world of growing autocratism and partisan politics, building a strong and united Europe around shared vision, values and capabilities is an opportunity for us and and obligation to the world.

Only a strong and united Europe can provide us a safe home. Our parents and grandparents fought for it after the 2 nd WW, we should be doing the same.

We need a united Europe around the vision of sustainable competitiveness in our businesses, innovation and talents. The base is a strong democracy and inclusion of all members. We do not need to become a bureaucratic monster, eating speed, ideas, flexibility and chances for breakfast. Balancing around these topics will stay a permanent challenge to master.

Europe will only play a major role as joint region with strong financial and technical standardisation goals. Especially in the H2 economy and electrification we have a chance, but only with aligned targets. Otherwise we loose against CN and AM

if we want to be taken seriously at eye level worldwide, we Europeans must stand together.

In order to secure the future of our free and democratic society we have to stand together as a truly united Europe.

Europe can still make the world a better place.
Europeans can only do it together.
This is worth our energy, passion, efforts, resources and our love.

I fully believe in a United and strong Europe based on shared values and democracy and freedom.

The only way out of political and economical marginalization is to create United States of Europe based on shared democratic values and a strong common army.

I strongly believe in the future of the European Union as union of shared values, freedom and lifestyle.

Putin made it clear:

Standing like a rock for our common values and fighting for them must be the fundament for our democracies.

The core value for Europe must be to keep peace. That was the initial purpose after WW II. Europe is based on more than 2000 years of history and culture also linked to cultural diversity and nations. We should keep national souveranity and align along common values like pluralism, freedom and democracy in a european community dedicated to preserve peace on this continent. Only in this configuration of commitment we could preserve our way of life against rising non-democratic powers like China or Russia. Europe is not about standardization of cucumbers, it’s about people and common values.
