is Group President at FBC Media, a London based developer, producer and distributor of international television programing and global communication campaigns on behalf of governments, non-governmental organizations and Fortune 100 companies.
In this position, Mr. Defterios has helped develop a global production and distribution model from three countries originally to over 100 countries and 40 of the world’s leading airlines. He oversees editorial content and production on FBC’s full range of factual programs. The flagship program, World Business, which he hosted, won the Grand Prix Award in Europe for best global business and financial program.
He is now the host of a new program called for CNN Marketplace Middle East (MME).
Mr. Defterios has more than two decades of broadcast journalism experience as an award-winning anchor, correspondent and special series producer, most recently with CNN Financial News in London and New York. He is a media leader of the World Economic Forum, is chairman of Business Week events in Asia, the Middle East and the U.S. and writes a weekly blog on economic affairs.
