Summit 2006:
Value Creation on an International ScaleSummit 2006: Value Creation on an International Scale

International takeover activity level has returned to levels known from the tech era. And the global economic community has made its way back to the growth path. To hop onto this upturn, companies need to strengthen their competitive position and master a business environment that is increasingly multinational and increasingly affected by geographic shifts.

The following discussion topics, amongst others, were on the Annual Summit 2006 agenda:

  • Shared Services: Shared success or doubled pain, or, why do so many solutions fail? What should be shared – costs or profit?
  • Managing for potential: What are the future innovation “blockbusters”? What is more promising: Following or leading the customer? Should innovation be left to small companies?
  • Market share vs. margin growth: What is the strategy behind strategic pricing? How can the “commodization-trap” be avoided? What is left of pricing strategies that have been operationalized?

The Annual Summit 2006 took place on September 14 to 16 in Bergisch Gladbach, near Cologne, Germany. Please find more detailed information in our program (PDF below).
