The following issues and further wide-ranging topics were discussed at the Annual Summit 2004:
- The end of corporate bystanding: Does the threat of loss in competitiveness force companies to play a more active role in shaping the business environment? Who takes it all – Leader or follower?
- China – Will the dragon continue to fly and how risky are foreign investments in China? How reliable are Chinese banking structures? Is the Chinese Enron at the door?
- Strategic capital allocation – Dealing with the unlimited demand for capital: When capital demand is high then why are interest rates low? How much should be invested in strategic projects with no investment story?
From October 28 to 30, 2004, participants shared a focus on value creation and their pursuit of steadily improving their company’s strategy, organization and management system. The summit took place at Lake Fuschl near Salzburg, Austria. Please find more detailed information in our program (PDF below).
